    One of the funsters has a similar truck I have seen it at Malvern and it had a drop down balcony at the rear very nice .

    great for overland trips in Africa or Asia .. but why in Europe ?

    expensive to run, cramped accommodation., noisy and uncomfortable to drive.. not for me..

    but big on wow factor.. and kudos..

    I encountered something similar in Spain where two Australians had driven overland from Kuala Lumpa and visited the Arctic circle and the UK before reaching Cartagena where I saw the two vans. I assume they were Australian built. This was the second time they had made this trip and were looking to include America on their next tour. Their vans were similar to this library picture but in white. Every bit of panelling opened up with some useful space. [​IMG]

    there were three similar units based on Unimogs at Ullapool last week. wouldn't like the fuel bill. Germans.

    There was one parked in a layby on the A303 just east of Mere yesterday morning and another one on eBay a couple of weeks ago for £35k

    I quite fancy touring Africa in one, camped there a few times in tents but fancy doing a grand tour around the continent in something a bit rugged.

    Did a bit of touring in South Africa when we lived there in the 70s .. up to Kruger national park and then Rhodesia .. did it in a pick-up truck, camping out .. .

    Going into Rhodesia we had to wait at the border to be escorted by the Rhodesian Sealous Scouts.. happy memories.. two great countries now going down the pan.. fast

    and sadly.. much of Africa is too dangerous now..

    Was parked up next to this one at a lidl store Cullera sp last year
    Photo doesn't do it justice ,would have swapped :D
