I'm having a weekend away in the MH, so here is a simple little photo quiz for you all. If you're of a certain age it will be simple.
1. for 5 points What was the advert
2. for 10 points where is it
3 and for bonus points and a big thank you from me how do I find my way back to the car park where the MH is???
I was there in 2016. Your photo has answered a question I have had in my mind ever since then. As I walked down Gold Hill I noticed that one of the doors had several paint sample colours daubed on it. I studied the colour choices and then, in pencil, I wrote “this one“.
It’s the first door on the left in your photo, next to the fuschia bush.

Yes it is. About 4/5 Ks from Bantry Bay, in Ballylickey.
I was there in 1971 and again the early 90's, when I first went there, there was three fishermen, Tom, Eugene and Jerry who used to row out in big circle trailing a net behind and catch wild Salmon, us youngsters used to help them pull the net in, it was great fun for us, when I went back in the 90's the fishing had stopped but Tom recognised me straight away even after 20 years, lovely people. If you should visit the pub down the road would you be kind enough to ask if Tommy Mullins is still with us, he used to tie his boat up at the pub moorings. I hope you enjoy Ireland as much as I have done.

Talking to a local he was telling me a local chap goes out in the morning fishing and comes back and ties up at the pub around 11am everyday but brings back Mackrell.
We went in the pub yesterday. Only read your mail this am so not had chance to ask.
We are off to Kinsale today.
We have hugged the coast all the way down from Donegal.
Wonderful country and people, absolutley love it.
1st time for us in a MH. We have done Ireland a few times in car/hotels.
We will be back.

That does sound like Tom, he took myself and my Dad out mackerel fishing on my first trip, and just myself on my second trip, no engine on the boat, he rows, and wouldn't take any money from us either, just happy for some company and a chin wag. I'm glad you've enjoyed it, it is a great place.

All that lovely lead work wouldn't last 5 minutes in the UK before some horrible idiot would have had it away.

A bit like the modernist villa I saw in Italy.

Rectangular, two storey construction with 2m or so overhanging eaves to provide shade. All the guttering was deep, semicircular profile copper with outlets on each corner, from which loosely wound heavy link copper chains spiralled down to the lawn. When it rained the effect was spellbinding but they would have been down the scrapyard in the blink of an eye over here.
