Even though my Grandfather and my Dad wouldnt talk about my Great Uncle I have found a lot of information about were he went missing and traced his name to the memorial at Thiepval in France.
We have been to the area a couple of times but never managed to be there on the eleventh. We have taken our children there to show them.
My other Grandfather by good luck wasnt in France. For some strange reason he went to Russia to help quell the white revolution.

An unusual view for me to take a picture of. Looking East on Ilkley moor. The very small black dot just left of centre is a red kite.
It’s unusual as I don’t generally find the view east very interesting. It’s flat and boring. Today however with the clouds etc I looked pretty good.

Yes it is, very nice but possibly not enough going on for me to live there.

We have friends that spend winter in probably the highest villa over looking the bay, it belongs to an American who doesn't come very often
( even less now ) and our friends carry out maintenance on it, and its rented out in summer. Bob.

Was at my daughters house today, her cat brought her a present
such a beautiful creature ,think it’s a stoat as opposed to a weasel,
it’s a shame , the cat must of been bloody quick to get it

We used to visit quite often when daughters were wee as their aunt who lived in Moraira used to take them snorkeling there. We haven't hired a villa or visited in laws there for a few years but maybe we'll hire a villa next year if allowed and take new grandchildren.

How on earth can the shops justify selling rockets that come down and
go straight through a 112mm gutter?
I shudder to think what would happen if it hit a person
The stick is about 1m long easy enough to fix the gutter but not so easy to fix a kid.
