Picture from our front garden in the Faroes today, very warm for a change and Manchester United continue to expand their global enterprises, now into fish processing. (y)

This new thread is timely, as my new camera arrived today. It is an Olympus OM-D E-M10 which I bought for its small size as I wanted a camera I could take with me on my bike tours but which gave the results of a good DSLR. Previously I have used a compact but it was useless for taking pictures of things close up, like flowers - or spiders.
A very steep learning curve at the moment but managed to take some pictures today. I just have the standard 14-42mm kit lens but it focuses down very close as you can see below. Perhaps I will post some more later if I manage to work out how to use it. For example it has WiFi and can link to a mobile phone so you can control the camera remotely while seeing what is in the view finder on your 'phone.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
probably mid 70's

Later, I would think, judging by his high-leg boots, which came into service after The Falklands.
