We are planning our first long distance holiday to devon, A site for the week is our plan as we have done the brit stop and have worked out costs and think it would be cheaper to take our own food and use an electric hook up. the site must be close to the beach and shops and quiet. looked at loads on the net but hopefully some funsters can point us in the right direction. nade and steve.

Have a look round Woolacombe, for beach and quiet, but not shops. Think you might be asking for an oxymoron !

Been a year or two since we stayed here (and it was with the caravan) but the two sisters running it were great. Walk down into Hope Cove is off road....small shops.

Beautiful area, the road down to the site is a typical Devon lane but has passing places.
