A meander around the Mull of Galloway ... (1 Viewer)

We’re still getting used to our new van and discovering the type of site we like. We left home (Ayrshire) on Friday night, spent one night at Wig Bay on Port Ryan and our second night down on the beach just before the Mull. We were woken shortly after dawn by the van rocking gently. We were surrounded by a herd of free ranging cows (and their bull) enjoying the early morning sunshine and a couple of them were licking our van rather vigorously.
The final photo is from last night .. I headed up the road to Torridon to spend a few days here with my mum and caught the most amazing sunset over Loch Maree. I wish I’d had my real camera .... anyway, it’s a cheat photo as I was in my Mini Countryman not the van ?.

Interesting fact, the Mull of Galloway lighthouse is on the same latitude as Middlesboro, it doesn't "feel" like you're further South than say Carlisle or Newcastle.

Yes, we were talking to the lass with the kayak. She also has a collapsible creel and fishing rods. I’m wondering if we should bring one of our sit ons down from Torridon to take in the MH. I was th8nking there must be a way of attaching it vertically on the rear door. Perhaps balancing on the bike rack. Thought in progress.
