We have just enjoyed perfect weather on a perfect site.

A lady we have become friends with mentioned that she wanted to take her MH to Castle Douglas, she wondered if we knew of anywhere, well we did and then decided 'sod it, we will go too'....Sheena & Derek managed to fit us in as even though they were busy, one of the pitches designed with MH's in mind is so big both MH's & our car fitted in it with room to spare.
The pitches are so level we didn't need to use a wedge.

There is an immaculate toilet/shower on both the the CL & the new site.
There is hand sanitiser everywhere.

Arlene would come past our home anyway, so we got ourselves ready to go on Saturday, Robert went ahead in our MH & I waited for Arlene in the car so that she could follow me.

We have used Mollance many, many times over the years and it was so good to go back, I admit to feeling a tad emotional when I drove in.

They have had a CL for years, but they now also have a 2nd site designed with motorhomes in mind, the only thing that is missing at the moment is somewhere to dump grey water.

Arlene and her sweet 18 year old dog had a great time and I think the whole weekend gave her confidence a boost as this was her first time away in the MH on her own, on top of becoming a widow she has taken some really hard knocks in life recently and it was nice being just a small part of something positive for her.

She also fell hook line & sinker in love with our dogs, Gus in particular, so Sandra irnbru or Hyacinth 1 sorry ladies.

If you want a friendly & peaceful site as a base for a beautiful area you need to give them a call, they even do freshly cooked fish (not frozen) & chips (hand cut) made on site for £8, £2 for a pudding, this is delivered to you MH door.
We missed out on this because we arrived on the Saturday, but having been a taste tester for some of Sheena's cooking over the years I can assure you that her food is perfect, she has is a professional catering business and in normal times they run weddings on the lawn by the ruins of the house that was once there.

Sorry if I am going on a bit, but we really do love this site.

Yes, thank you
Looks great but how do you book it if not a member of mainstream clubs?
