We are off tomorrow for a wander around France.
17.30 shuttle then probably go round to Cite Europe for the night and stock up on a few essentials, beer, wine etc at Carrefour.
We only have 12 days so not going too far this time. The Memsahib wants to go back to her favourite aire at La Mailleraye-sur-Seine where she would happily stay for the whole 12 days. They have a Vide-grenier (spilling??)/bootfair this weekend so the aire is sure to be closed.
I'm sure we will find some alternatives for a few days.

Richard.

The weather forecast for central to northish France looks quite good for the weekend. We are currently near Macon and its p!ssed down most of the day. Traffic around Lyon bad as usual and the blattering rain doesnt help. We will be around Epinal for the weekend in hopefully nice weather. Returning to the UK on Monday but planning to return to the continent in May.

Stay well away from La Mailleraye when they have that bootfair. We arrived last year when it was on snd it was chaos. But the Aire is only closed for a couple of nights. Try Honfleur when it is closed, only a few miles away.

If Mailleraye is closed you could go to the aire just down the road at St. Nicholas, but not if you need service because they broken.

Thanks Peter.
We are going elswhere for a few days further south then probably back up to La Mailleraye next week.
For anyone thinking of going there in the next few weeks the town is 'en fete' on 4-5-6th May and the aire will be shut.

Richard.

Wrong again, not grammar
logic corrector you cant try an Aire when its closed
Sorry but it depends what the "it" refers to. And in this case it is clear that the "it" refers to the Aire in the previous sentence not the Aire being recommended in the sentence. Logic can only be applied by taking into account the context and the whole post, not individual sentences.

And anyway

But anyway I am sorry if you did not understand my post because of its a lack of logic or grammar, but I somehow suspect that you did despite that.

@Clarky, we 'discovered' Dieppe last year - it's a great town and has a big aire on the road to the ferry port. Lots of excellent restaurants, good tourist information centre, very civilised. We like the Newhaven crossing and will be going back to Dieppe in September.

We are at Neufchâtel-en-Bray at the moment. What a cracking Aire.
Bit pricy at €12 but has hook-up, water etc. included.
We were intending to head south to the Loire tomorrow but might just make the short hop to La Mailleraye instead.
The sun is shining and it’s lovely and warm. :)
