Thanks to Grommet I now have our travel/Full Timers blog up and running.

As relatively novice motorhome travellers I am sure this will help some of you, make some of you cringe at our mistakes, but also I hope it will be a little bit entertaining.

I am sorry I missed this post when you first made it. I will add it to my list of reads (y)

If you could reduce the file size of your blog pictures they would open a little faster with no appreciable reduction in quality.

Helps us old gits with poor broadband speed.

Cracking start to a Blog... thanks

Noted, will see if I can do that, just getting to grips with it today.

There is an image resizer in Wordpress. If you need any help with this please let me know.(y)

Yes I could do with reducing the size of the photos. Is there an option within the website?

I am working from a laptop now and have found is much better than with the ipad.

Yup, if you click on the image in the editor. Then click on the pencil symbol you will enter the image editor.
Click on "Edit Original"

Now on the top right you can see "Scale image" with a width and height box. You can set the width here. What I do is set the width to 10 pixels less than the width of my column. It is then big enough to fill the page but small enough so it doesn't take long to download.

If you need more info, I will do a tutorial on it.

Great to read about your adventure. We are planning to go to France + Spain in September so any tips would be welcome.

Oh bless her. I keep telling her to join the Fun but she doesn't because they have a caravan.

Tell her I miss her too.
