"Wow"......... What a fabulous site.... peace.... tranquility.... space.... lovely "Level" walks.... a pub 5 mins stroll (20 mins at my pace.).... A lake where you can Paddle Board/Kayak/Canoe/..(Bring your own boat etc)...Fish.... all for free.. (For campers)... Not a massive lake but very pretty walks round it... On site Cafe.. (But at the time only open Friday afternoon and during the day Sat & Sun.)... By booking you can book and boards supplied "Yoga" on a board, on the lake.. :Eeek:

Fishing, the owners are livid... Otters have decimated the stock of large fish.... although we did see a Cormorant dive in and pull out a sizeable Roach.. (I think it was.)..

Read the reviews and a lot of moans about the price.. The prices are on the web site when you book... If you think they are expensive "WHY BOOK"..:blush:..

Where we were.... there is a single toilet.. (Just a shed really... But clean)... and water and rubbish bins across the car park..

The showers WC`s and Elsan are right at the other end of the field... quite a walk if you are humping a full "Elsan"... Again, toilet`s and showers nothing t write home about.... But adequate...

All in all a well run VERY tidy lovely site us and our Grandson and his lady friend had a smashing "HOT few days, just chilling and talking and drinking and unwinding... Superb..... we will be back... :inlove:
I may even sort out a rally there for next year.... :whatthe::shake::shake::shake::shake::giggler:

Few photo`s.... don`t get bored with them....

Due to the heat, the lake had a lot of algae , but away from the sides the water was clear..

Water in the lake was too yucky looking to let the dogs swim... but there is a little stream with crystal clear water at the end of the lake... even that was not running full flow due to the weather..

If I get hold of you... you are in for it...

Yes... expensive... but we knew that... What price a hidden gem like that...

We drove down from Dorchester A35 side... big mistake... bit narrow lanes.... but went home the other way... much quicker to get to Weymouth and wider roads/lanes..

:drinks::hugs:

In the second picture are they searching for your joke books old-mo ?

I must come down if they still have Otters there👏👏👏
I hope the camp owners don’t do anything rash in respect of the Otters doing what comes natural.

What do you think of your PVC ?

Love it............ Just the right size to jump in and away when we want....

Did I tell you we are away this Monday... while a builder rips out our bathroom...

Up near the main toilet block they have a small pond which has an electric fence round where they breed fish to replenish the main lake....

So a win - win for Otters and Fishermen...:Grin::giggler:

Looks amazing. Great pictures although you forgot to upload the one of you doing the Yoga on the lake 😂👍🏻

Not far from us, looks great for a weekend break.
How big is the lake for kayaking?

Not very good with sizes..... but would hazard a guess.... few hundred yards long and 100 yds across..

You will get a better idea looking at the web site photo`s... there is one with a good few boats/canoo`s paddle boards on..

Does say no more than 6 at a time... but one of the photo`s has at least 9...

Last week there were a lot taking a swim.... (y)
