Parked up in the aire at Le mailleraye sur seine. With the rain pouring down, settled in for a session of The Sopranos on DVD, the DVD must have been on for about 5 hours. Got up to get a drink when the lights started to flicker and shortly after the whole lot went dead, looked at control panel and battery indicator showing one red light. Turned everything off and went to bed.
Next morning, got up and battery indicator showing 95% ! with all things back to normal.

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

If you were using the dvd it could fairly run your batteries down. Once you go to bed the batteries recover slightly. As soon as you have enough solar to charge the batteries the control panel will show a false reading as it is reading charging batteries. Since first light you will get charge into the batteries and you will be back in the black.

Beware of running DVD player too long.

You should be ok if the sun shines.....enjoy

Its called the sun and it gets up a lot earlier than you, and as soon as it is up it is working putting the little bits of electrickery back into your batteries. May not be full, but enough to start things up.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
Poor battery connection
Poor main fuseholder contact
Poor choice of film. :( Watching 'Flash Gordon' would have provided you with plenty of power. (y) I notice that my lights flicker watching porn.

Fo years I used to think my batteries were charged early by the sun, proudly telling people that my big bank of batteries were charged again by 8:30am. :) Then one day i was put right, I was reading the voltage 13.2 or 13.4 while my batteries were being charged by my panels. Now I too have a monitor that gives me the %/charged and I now realise that I will only be charged when the panels hold that voltage for most or all of the morning/day. :D
