How long should three leisure batteries last fully charged with say 4 lights on and a 12v TV ?.Should I put Blue chemical in my Black tank ? if so aproximately how much and any idea of the tank size.E450 Trail lite 28'.Thanks Nic

Hi with regard to batteries it depends on the condition of the batteries, plus there are other items you would be using possibly as well as what you stated like the water pump, slide out if you have one, atomatic door light when you open the door,electric step, gas warning system, tv signal booster.
Most RVs have a minimum tank capacity of around 30gallons each for each, fresh, grey and black. Have to say we dont use treatment in our black tank now and have no problem with smell we just give it a good rinse out occasionally, in our last one we did use chemical additives and had a deffinate toilet smell after a time. (apparently using chemical kills the natural breakdown bacteria and killing that off is what gives the smell), we also empty on a regular basis not wait till the tank is full

another thing you might need is a tote tank for those times when you cannot reach the dump point, or dont feel like moving your rig. Its better to stick with the smaller units, although meaning more trips its easier to pull, we have a 10 gallon one
