A bit of a dilemma.

The van is now coming up for five years old and the engine battery is the same age. A kind friend has just given me a brand new good quality battery that would be ideal as a replacement; the same size, power and terminal location with the added benefit of being sealed whereas the existing one needs the electrolyte levels to be checked occasionally. The existing one is not showing any signs of age and has always been well treated. Should I change now or keep the new one for later? Thoughts please.
 
Even new Batteries deteriorate with age , get it changed it’s a no brainier 👍
