Likewise. The pictures make you go cold. What a tragedy for the family.

Been trying to work out what happened. This was a head-on crash and I wondered how? If one or t'other had been turning into the petrol station, it would be more of a side impact, but this looks square on?

Can't second guess - it's just so tragic (as indeed all RTC's are).

Horrific accident. My thoughts are with their families. Our local rag seems to enjoy posting the photos, do they have no conscience?

Very bad... It is a UK van as you can see the habitation door, so not really a foreigner turning out in to the wrong lane. Cant understand how this was head on. Very sad........

Looking at the photos on the below link I suspect the driver of the MH has been turning into the Esso station but for some reason didn't notice the lorry coming towards him, hence the collision. If you look at the photos of the lorry you can see that the offside front corner seems to have taken most of the impact and the front nearside of the MH seems to have more of an 'indent' than the offside.

A very, very sad occurance indeed.

Very sad indeed..
Realistically only three possible causes and the first two are not pleasant..
I have been to almost identical accidents a couple of times and have my suspicions how this one occured

A comment in our local Echo from someone whose family were close when it happened suggest that the motorhome driver may have become unwell and veered across the road. Very sad indeed for all.

That was my thought as the huge amount of front damage, to me suggests impact while moving at speed. Awful for all involved and my sympathies to the motorhome drivers wife.
