Ok - first post so please bear with me.

Our new (to us) 2012 903 has it's bonnet release in the passenger side footwell. Simple lever mechanism.

So I pull it . .

and check out the bonnet and can't see that it's released anything.

Is there a little trick to open the bonnet? The previous owner showed me the bonnet open and I saw it cantilever up but I must have been suffering from some form of 'New Bus Euphoria' because I don't seem to be able to do it myself! Help. I don't need to get in there, just feel that I should be able to without ripping the smile off my new van.

The way the opening on our Hymer works (B630 - A-class) is that the catch is released by the lever then I have to hold the 'bonnet' at one side or the other at the top and bottom (NOT in the MIDDLE) then swing it forward and up. To close, pull it down from the middle and push the bottom until the catch locks. Yours may be the same.

20 years (unless you count my dads VW which makes it 52 years with a few gaps!!)
mine has a catch at the top that you have to move to one side before the bonnet will lift. (after pulling lever inside)
