I want to remove the big table and leg from my 53 plate 746F but can’t figure out how it comes out and even a technician at a major dealer said he’d not seen one like that before! It’s a single pole down into the floor; I’ve removed the upper cover and can see the hole it goes into but can’t see or feel any screws holding it into the bottom hole. Is it just stuck in or is there a bracket I’m not seeing/feeling?

Is that section of the floor raised creating a step, which means the bottom of the pedestal is fixed underneath??.

Yes but you can’t get under the raised bit, I’ve tried! Would have to take side benches out as they’re holding the floor panel in. There’s nothing holding the post into the hole that I can see or feel though

Since 1975 on and off.
I have a similar fitting and I think you will find it’s just stuck, give it a good tap on different sides and pull.

I sprayed loads of WD40 around and down it and given it a number of hefty thumps with a rubber mallet but still no sign of any movement at all!!! Can’t see any sort of fixings from above at all.
