Hmm. More available payload eaten into :(. Bet we don't get a partial refund either - Calor Lites are more expensive than standards, both initially & refills.

Also worth noting that some manufacturers assume a single 6Kg Lite cylinder (c. 10.5Kgs full) in the small print when calculating available payload.

Don't know why they can't get there act together and produce light bottles like the Spanish ones, which are so light and readily available.

Aw that's a bloody nuisance, thanks for the heads-up.
I've got two 6Kg 'Lites', with one due for exchange, so what's the move now? Might explain why my local Go Outdoors is not showing any stock?

When I initially got the Lite bottles they were more expensive ,so when I have to go back to the heavies will there be a refund. Also when they iintroduce there new lite version will I be able to swap over to them or have to pay for new new ones. I do wish Color had some serious competition because there a real ripoff.

Presumably refills will still be available, but in smaller quantities. Numbers will decrease until they run out of serviceable cylinders.
Perhaps by that time a new lightweight cylinder will be available.

Not a problem for me though as I have Gaslow in the van and only use a couple of Calorlite's for the BBQ at home.

Richard.

They are now very collectable.......
I just happen to have a full one available at the very reasonable price of
£100 + p&p
Waiting for a rush of replies,

The cynic in me says Calor probably have the new version ready to launch as soon as they have all the Lites out of circulation. They will then be in a position to charge a hefty premium for converting from standard ones.

Cheque's in the post. Given the price for each cylinder I've guessed postage at £50 each so it's for £300.
