still reeling from this blatant discrimination, had been in the concept idea list, but not allowed to bring children, adults only, so off the list

I don't have little kids. They are teenagers and wouldn't want to go to the dance anyway.

We've got children. But sometimes it's really nice to be in an adult situation without them. Granted ours are older now. We are able to leave them at home have as much adult time as we want nowadays.

It's good to be able to have an adult conversation without listening little ears . Great not having somebody's little darling running around , knocking over your drink , screaming sliding on its knees on the dance floor, grabbing on its parents arm , mummy mummy mummy when she's in mid conversation. You know the sort, parents think they can't do anything wrong ? I'm sure yours aren't like that and very well behaved , that's why you feel badly done to.
It's a bit like the people who always insist on taking their dogs into the rally tent , marquee, room. It's ok for them , though if everyone took their dogs in , it would be like bloody crufts !

Your children are not allowed at this meet. One of the very few on fun to say that.
Stop letting it bother you. Life's too short.
Step away from the thread !

If you don't like it , do one yourself like you say. Then anyone that has little kids , that want to keep the faith , can go to it.
I think it would be better if you start your own thread, not tag it on to Kens though. That way the people that Have little kids , and want to go , will actually see it.

If you recall, back on December 23rd, I did ask you via a pm how old your kids were. For reasons best known to yourself, you chose not to answer me. Had you told me that they were in fact teenagers, then Im sure we could have reached a compromise.
However, you replied to me saying that you wouldn't be coming, but I could still borrow your disco decks/PA System. My reply to you being, that since I had effectively excluded you from the rally because of the no kids rule, I declined your generous offer.
Now, some four weeks later, you have seen fit to resurrect your comments once more and 'flame' me in an open forum.

As others have stated the no kids bit was/is intended to prevent screaming unruly children running round the hall and dance floor. I apologise if you feel that I have discriminated against you and your family, I don't think you would find kids at venues such as the Wheel, Torch or Blackpool Mecca.
