We have to mark out pitches in order to get 50 odd vans on to the field and ensure they are all not on top of one another and not packed in like sardines. In addition there is a statutory requirement to facilitate access/egress for emergencies whether it be Fire Brigade, Ambulance, or Police. There is no resemblance to the organisation you mentioned. This rally is run according to the Motorhome Fun rally handbook.

An awfull lot of work goes into the setting up of this field to make it safe and as little damage to the grass as possible .
Drive in Park up. Drive off . No shunting about .

Thats fine if you're approaching Newark from the West, but to make matters worse there is major sewer work going on in Newark town centre, which compounds what is already a terrible place for hold ups.

Ken is already aware of this but we are sorry to say we are unable to join you all this weekend due to problems with Merilyn's 93 year old dad. We had hoped to pop down on Saturday night for a flying visit but even that looks unlikely now. One good point is that at least I won't have to suffer about a month of knee pain after all the dancing like I did last year.
Anyway, we hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
