The plastic thread on our water tank filler seems a bit flakey, and I am always aware that it would be very easy to fit the cap cross threaded

I was wondering if it would be possible to find a permanent adapter to screw on to the tank, so I am using the adapter male thread, rather than the tank male thread

Think I need a 60mm x 2mm pitch, female to male adapter. It could be with a smaller thread/cap on the male end, but the overall depth needs to be no more than 45mm, or the door will not close

Anyone any ideas?

TIA

You could try these https://www.geoquipwatersolutions.com/user/HPL - 2017 Hydrodif Company Profile.pdf

I think you may come unstuck on 45mm clearance.

Hi
if you send me the Cap as a pattern, I can make you an extension no problem. It may take a couple of tests to get the thread perfect for the tank, but it’s no problem to make.

I have ordered a tank cap, which I hope will fit my tank. If so I will look at putting a fitting in the centre of the cap to allow me to fill through that. Thanks for the offer PaulandChrissy, may come to you at that point

If yo want something made to go in the centre of the cap tilted up to help filling, just ask. Im always happy to help make something special. 👍. PaulandChrissy

Now a little one
Looks like an IBC standard 60mm thread. Link to fittings below.

Sure mine is a finer thread than this. Pitch is 2mm
