@The Cricketers,

I have no idea either but, got exactly the same in my Autocruise Accent also on a Fiat base vehicle. I'm sure someone out there knows what they are for.

Solar panel connection? Got something similar next to the leisure battery box in our Bolero.

Mind, the solar panel fitters ignored it so maybe not...............

Same on my Peugeot, dealers stated unused accessory (declined to tell me what) helpful as always. I taped up the floating earth wire.

No its not... It's a Fiat original part nothing to do with the conversion to a motorhome..
Seen this question asked a lot and never seen an answer for it as yet..

The Sargent / extra leisure battery connection is always close to the original leisure battery and is a 2 pin connector (y)

It is a factory optional connection cable for a second battery. Nothing to do with a motorhome specifically, but often included in the specification of vehicles intended for motorhome conversion, even if ignored by the converter!

Just tuck it back down the side of the battery, and keep the earth ring away from the live terminals on the distribution box at the battery positive terminal.

If you find unused connectors on Fiat vehicles a cause for curiosity or concern under no circumstances look behind the dashboard .............. :xgrin:

Or behind the cab step panels, under the seats, or in fact anywhere really unless you ordered every conceivable item from the options list ;)

And your multi-purpose vehicle is an ambulance, minibus, taxi, used by the armed forces, used by the Police, etc.:)

That was the starter battery box just so everyone realises - in front of the passenger seat under the floor.
