Happy New year to all..

So trip planned to Norway in August for 3months so looking at winter tyres rated to 4.5ton...
Wanted to put BF Goodrich K02 AT but can't find out if rated to my load(4.5t) Anyone know if good to use?
OR could anyone rate a tyre that will deal with some light track use and come with the winter requirements? will be used on some tracks whilst looking for surf.

Thanks for your help

On someone else’s suggestion we have fitted the Toyo observe van winter tyres and very impressed with them off road grip good they are quite supple so keep it a smooth ride and are 4.5 ton rated ok

It is your axle weight not the weight of the van you go by.

Say the rear axle max load is 2500kg so each tyre needs to support 1250kg add 10% safety margin so you need a tyre with a load rating of 1375kg.
So a tyre load index of 120, the Toyo Observe van in 225/75/16 is 121 (1450kg).

So they will improve ride over my Michelin Campers... will get the most out of the rear air and EP plush front springs at last...

Thanks Lenny(the Knowledge)...

Anything will improve the ride on Michelin Campers. If I'd fitted the Toyo's before spending over 7k on the air I probably wouldn't have fitted the air. Now I'm stuck as I would never have a van without the air.
