Called into the 3 shop yesterday and came out with a good deal. Unlimited 4 G broadband with an unlocked 4G Router Pro 3 model 535-232 for £14 per month on a 24 month contract. Funsters including Lenny HB use this router and are very satisfied with its performance coupled with an external Mimo Wi-fi antenna. Router is 12 volt and only comes with a mains adapter so a stabilised 12 volt supply is needed cheap on flea bay. So any Funsters going this route it’s a great deal. Obviously it’s a new contract so the free fair usage allowance

(12gb per month) does not apply so I will just buy a local sim when abroad.

I did some back to back test's with a B535 recently and was very impressed

So is this in effect UK only?

All new 3 contracts from beginning of October don’t allow a free fair usage allowance of 12gb and now cost £2 per day to use this allowance. So yes U.K only unless you pay the extra.

No good for me. I have always found '3' to be lacking in coverage around East Anglia.

It’s none existent at home Geoff or I would cancel BT it’s primarily for the moho and yes after recently spending 10 weeks around North Norfolk reception is rubbish. When on-site at Sandringham CCC a van with a mimo antenna and a router was pulling in usable a signal on 3. We had nowt even the free site Wi-fi was very poor to none existent 😱😱😱

Hi Stewart

I would also like to get rid of BT but as you say there does not appear to be a provider for decent 3g let alone 4g.

Geoff

Presently on a rally near Newcastle full strength signal on 3 using a mifi, drive 30 miles West along the A69 and it’s the opposite. ☹️☹️
