Currently in the Lakes on EHU so using electric Fan for heat. I have noticed that on one 3 pin socket in van the Plug for the heater gets warm, but if I move to another socket it doesn’t, what could be causing this to happen? And don’t worry I will not use it in the 1st socket again.

Bad contacts. Just use your van heater, and not use all the “inclusive“ electric.

Replace the socket, the plug is too loose in it 👍

Three pin pug will get warm with 2000 watts on it after awhile.

Yep. Bad connection between plug and socket - suspect the socket contacts are not mating with the plug pins correctly….
Change the socket(y)

Just only use the heater outside to heat the awning to be on the safe side

A poor connection. Check the wires are firmly connected to the back of the socket, if they are then as others have said change the socket.

Sounds like a bad socket, either poor contact pressure, or contamination of the contact surfaces with oxidation or suchlike. Replacing is likely to be less work than cleaning it if it is a standard part.

Take the socket of and tighten the cable connection. Be sure to unplug the ECU first

Swap the sockets if you're up to it and change the bad one later.

Thanks, seems consensus is lose socket and change. I think I know a man who can!
thanks guys

Keep it plugged in, you are getting more heat for your money
sorry Dave
