Having just redone my wiring on the b2b charger and replaced 2 batteries I have a simple but strange question.

Why an inline fuse between the two?
What's the purpose and consequences of not putting one in?

The advice I've seen quoted is that if the batteries are adjacent, a fuse is not required, if they are not, then a fuse is recommended, and with a long wiring run potentailly passing thrugh bodywork I could see the reason for this.

That's what I thought. The batteries are next to each other..there's a fuse on all charging in to the batteries
