Been having a look at one of these its on a peugeot chassis and engine which is 2016 the conversion is 2019 17,000 on the clock asking price 44,995 which seems a bit high to me.

Any thoughts ladies and gents it has the two living areas we are looking for

Is it an Aurora or an Aurora Leisure? Is it an XL or a LWB - prices different for all those. If its the one at SMC it's an Leisure XL. Usually built on a Citroen so Peugeot is unusual that's why I spotted it, although the mileage is only 16k on that one. They do hold their price because not a lot of pre-owned for sale. We like them too much to sell them! New ones are over £50k depending on model.

I've got a 2017 Aurora FB on a Citroen... won't be changing anytime soon ;).

They used to sometimes build their conversions into used vans... so it sounds like as if this might be the same... so you get a brand new motorhome internally, just only an older, barely run in chassis. Hence perhaps the higher than anticipated price.

Must admit... I didn't think they did that anymore... I wonder if it is a cancelled order, 2019 build... are you sure you've got the dates right?

Doubt it'll be around for too long.

That sounds like a vote in favor(y)
it is the one at SMC but I think the price is to high for a 3 year old chassis/engine with only a 6 month warranty euro 5 engine and I have just heard today that Peugeot are suspending diesel engine manufacture and are seriously considering making it permanent not confidence inspiring

The story or reason its on a used Peugeot(y) chassis is that wildax had their Citroen base vehicle order delayed and rather than have the factory stood idle they bought in a few second hand vans to convert.
As you know from my previous problems I have difficulty believing anything dealers say

It's something they've done before - new conversions in used vans... so that rings true.
They tend to only order the new Citroen bases when they have the orders, which generally means as a customer buying new, one has to wait 6-9 months for a delivery. I did, plus an extra couple of weeks over anticipated delivery... Mine was built at their old, full to capacity factory, but now they've moved to a larger facility.
All in all, I'd tend to believe them on this.
Will you get any warranty on the mechanical side?

As for the conversion itself, I'd say WildAx are generally pretty well thought out & well bolted together.
Lots of 'extras' are standard... they're pretty receptive to modifications, even after sales... so for example, if you didn't want that microwave, they'd probably put a matching cupboard door on it for you...

Went to the SMC site to have a nosey at this, but couldn’t find it. I did, however, find our first Motorhome up for sale! We full timed in it for nearly three years, so it was lovely to see it again! Thanks! (Sorry for taking over the thread!).

a 6 month warranty is near useless, an insurance backed 12 or 24 month warranty included would be a better deal

Depends on it and on what.... Insurance backed could have so many exclusions as to make it worthless.
In this instance - WildAx - tend to stand behind their products [ but of course, no-one is ever 100% ], plus I presume the Dealer [SMC] might offer something.

Mine is a 2012 conversion on a 2009 van, previously a builder's van. For a while I used to find small bits of masonry in corners but I think it's clear now after 6.75 years! I have had a warranty with Warranty Direct which seems to cover most things for several years after WildAx's 'Gold' (ha ha) warranty expired but will be stopping it when it expires and putting the money into my own repairs fund. I didn't know they did conversions any more either.

I believe its SMC 6 month mechanical warranty but will check that, the habitation has a three year warranty by wildax
