Hi All,
Does anyone have a diagram of the recommended cushion layout to make the bed up in the lounge area please, whilst i can make it up I always feel its not quite as intended or "right".

many thanks in advance.
Mark

My Burstners just the same - a bit like Tetres. I made mine simple with a piece of ply, but its only good enough for little ones. Mine works better if you turn the cushions up side down

we have a Bolero 680 and although we don't use the 'lounge bed' when I did try to piece it together I was disappointed that it also just didn't seem like a perfect fit - which is bad when you consider that everything should be made to measure, so someone either got the cushion sizes wrong or built the seats/bed too big !

when we did make it up once, we found that turning the cushions so that the back of the cushions faced upwards made it a little more comfortable and less 'bumpy'

It's supposed to be simple - pull the seat bases to the middle together with the seats and the backrests fall down neatly into the resulting gaps!

But beds made up of different cushions are never going to be quite the same as a one piece mattress so, although we've no intention whatsoever of using ours, I'd be flipping them over and using a mattress topper to even out the joints. Unless someone's got the sizes wrong the cushions shouldn't be able to move.

We had our 680FB reupholstered and noted that the seat backs were made the same thickness and foam density as the seats.

if we ever had ours reupholstered I think I would get them to make the back cushions just that little bit bigger.

how much did you pay for the full reupholstery job? we love the van but the suede(?) bits on the cushions mark very easily.

Final bill ( we had a couple of extras including leather trimming) was around £2200, done by Regal. Superb job, excellent service.

You can get it done cheaper elsewhere of course but IMO you get what you pay for. Two years and a lot of use later it still looks brand new.
