Many thanks for the reply. , could someone please send a pic of the bit ive lost ( offa their van ) as i cant remember what it looked like and ill attempt to mould a facsimile ! cheers !

Don't think there that expensive to buy a whole new aerial, Warrington car audio (near the rear entrance to the hospital, next to kwikfit) is your best option the guy in there very helpful am sure he will have one as they do fitting as well

It does not look like a Pug or Fiat specific antenna, but an aftermarket thing..
There are so many out there the chances of finding the right one is, I would guess, quite small
Thinking outside the box, a quick and cheapo fix might be a spray paint tin lid, cut down and a hole in it for the mast
A smear of Puraflex40 ( or of course Sikaflex ) to keep it in place and seal the 'mast' to the cap too
