A friend has put a deposit on a 2005 auto sleeper Duetto automatic, selector is a button on the dashboard and now someone has told her its the worst auto in the world, very unreliable, thirsty 17mpg and very slow.
Anyone got any experience of this type of push button automatic box, any comments please

Hi

Don't know which year transit, but was advised by a Ford mech at about that time to avoid their autos, as they where trouble, must admit did not go any further in looking, assumed he knew best.

it would seem lots wanted to convert their van to a manual when you read the forums so I think your info is correct and they are rubbish and when they do go wrong cost a fortune as Ford just want to replace everything
