Hi,

I’m looking to replace or cover the awful plastic steering wheel in my 2004 Hymer. There doesn’t appear to be any off the shelf leather OEM version available for the 2004. I notice that there are plenty of later Ducato leather wheels available for the 2006 on version.
Does anyone know if the later four spoke 2006 on wheel will fit the earlier van?

Thanks

Ian.

I seem to remember that you used to be able to get a leather cover that you laced around the existing steering wheel ( oh that was on my mk 2 cortina)

How about this then?, I seem to think that the ones you just slide over the wheel can also slip as you turn the wheel

My neighbour bought a slip on cover for his. It's best to warm it up before struggling to fit as it's really snug and looks fine. Ebay has them

I bought a sew on real leather cover a few years ago for my 2003 Fiat, I think it came from Germany. It transformed the feel of the steering wheel and still looks like new. It cost about £15.

I am sure I remember a thread about this very subject, which included attached videos etc. Try a search of the forum.
