I've seen recommendations for the Exide 80ah ES900 gel, however, there appeared to be a caveat "if this is supported by your charger" !!!!

Numpty here! Assumed that driving would charge the battery - hasn't so also 'assume' that it was too flat to recover.

Urgently need to buy a replacement on route to Exeter from Milton Keynes.

1. Where do I find the 'charger' is it identifiable - reminder 'numpty' here!
2. How do I know it's still operational? Can I test? (Have multi meter)
3. Is there an alternative to gel that is also recommended.

p.s. current battery is: Hankook deep cycle XV110MF (20hr) 800 CCA

Ive just ordered a these

They charge normally and have give less stress on the charger and alternater

There are so many threads about this on the group but I can't find the website that independently tests batteries and reviews them

You can vent using

Just need to go outside some how

I've got a battery box in the floor under the bench seats in kitchen area of the auto trail apache 700 which has a hole where I can see out of, so I'm going to vent that battery and the second is secured to floor on battery tray and using the vent piping going on do the same through the battery lid secured by a rubber grommet

They say out of stock but you can Pre order as stock came in last Thursday
