Still getting there.
Has anyone here recently combined their car and motorhome insurance into one policy?
Is it easy to do? Both insurances currently expire just a couple of weeks apart, so renewal is coming up soon.
Can you recommend an insurer and is it significantly cheaper to do it?

LV. Insured the wife’s small Kia with them first as they were offering a good deal. Then had a cracking quote for the first time insurance on the new MoHo, only to find an extra £30+ extra discount being applied to it for multiple vehicles at the same address when I took it out online a couple of weeks later.

I have been with LV for all my insurance since 1976 (Civil Servant rates). Last year they stopped insuring Motor Bikes so had to move that elsewhere.

! recently received the renewal figure for our two cars (Audi A6 Estate, the daily - well weekly or monthly really - driver and Mitsubishi Shogun that is now only used to tow the caravan) and it had gone up nearly £150 so I had a GOOGLE.

Only LV (for more than the renewal figure) and Admiral (for half as much again) came up with a 2 cars on 1 policy quote.

Go Compare did well, with known companies, but then (had the net been listening to me?) I received an email from DODDLE. offering to find 'the cheapest car insurance' Their quotes were excellent but involved seperate policies. However the result, using Tesco for the Audi and Post Office for the Mitsubishi (with equal excess and terms to the current LV policy) has saved me over £250. Sorry LV but I'm off and the House Insurance will probably follow when renewal is due.

If it wasn't for the wonderful cover and service offered by Britannia Rescue that would also migrate from the LV-CSMA agreement as well.

Happy shopping!

Funny thing is - on confused.com, LV come out as comparatively expensive on my car. - About £150 more than the cheapest.

I think a lot might depend on the value of the combined vehicles. These days it's not uncommon for a new motorhome to be 80K+ and a new car?
