Hey y'all.
I'am asking this on behalf of my friends. They have a 1997 Peugeot Boxer Wayfinder. I THINK it's with the 1.9 TD.
They recently broke down and now have an issue starting the vehicle.
When you turn the key, the lights on the dash come on but nothing happens. No power to the starter.
We replaced 2 bad relays under the bonnet. All the fuses are ok and the rest of the relays seem ok.
We wizzed up the starter with a power probe. it works fine but the engine doesn't fire...like it isn't getting fuel ( possibly the same issue not sending power to the starter is also not powering the pump ? )
Battery is new and holding good voltage. We tried both keys though not entirely sure whether is has an immobiliser.
They tried bump starting and it did fire up for a few seconds then wouldn't run . The thought of having to trace back every wire is fairly daunting so I dunno if anyone here can point me in the right direction?
