Hello again, has anyone put new wheels on a Hymer 544, We have 14 inch steel wheels at the moment, cant find new ones and we are toying with the idea of putting alloys on. Dont really want to spoil originality but to grit blast and paint would be £70 per wheel and you would still only have old wheels. thanks, Dave.

I am sure someone has done it and will be along soon.

But you might get a better response if you tell people what the chassis is and wheel size/tyre size etc.

Is there a makers number on the wheel?

£70 to refurbish a steel wheel sounds excessive when alloy wheel refurb is around £50 per wheel.
A problem you may have with alloys is getting a suitable weight rated wheel.
14" will mainly be car wheels.
