And following on from my first post…

We have identified the engine as the Citroen 2.5TD but can’t find any real info about it. Unfortunately (other than registration doc and long expired MOT) we can’t find any paperwork or documentation with the vehicle, so does anyone know the designation of this engine?

Crucially, does it have a timing belt?!

Any info gratefully received.

Since 2005
The early 2.5 engine does have a belt.....and stood for 8 years I would change it before any other jobs.
Around 4 to 5 year change interval regardless of milage covered.
Expensive it it snaps.

I’m not sure of year - I don’t have the v5 to hand but I’ll endeavour to find out. First of all the engine designation so I can find a diy on changing the timing belt :)

Thanks. That’s a shame, access is not great!

A few years.
Year should be on old MoT from number plate. Chassis number may also help.
