It's Derek's 80th birthday today and we're off to the Thursford Christmas extravaganza this afternoon.

Birthday card from daughter was about the year 1933. Derek read out the list of famous people who were also born in 1933 "he's dead, she's dead" and so it went on. Out of 9 names listed to our knowledge only three are still alive.

The other facts on the card are quite interesting too. Average weekly wage £2.85 and a pint of beer 7d (3p)
