I'm a newbie
Hi,

I've been searching Google for an answer and got nowhere with this, I have a 15v mains powered sound bar that would be ideal to have in our van as the speakers on our tv are a bit quiet. On hook up it will be no problem as I can plug in into the mains socket, question is, is there a way to run this 15v item from the leisure battery? I'm not too familiar with electronics and have no idea if this is even possible? Thanks

Very easy, buy a 12v dc universal power supply for a laptop, with variable output .. plenty on ebay .. just ensure it is rated high enough in watts for your needs

example..
Universal Laptop In-Car DC Charger & Notebook AC Adapter Power Supply 100W-USB

You could use an inverter and run it with mains plug.

A 12V battery actually runs 12.5 to 14V a lot of the time, chances are it will work direct. Maybe, if you're feellin' lucky punk.
