I can assure that the 180 we have has a belt, we changed from 150 manual 4250kg Exsis to a 4500 kg BDL with auto box and to be honest love the conformatic box. At present only done 3500 miles but performs well but dont really notice much difference although the comformatic does not seem to change gears as much as I did on the manual 150.
We tow a car trailer with ours and our gross train is pretty close to max 6000 kg but engine and gearbox copes very well.(y)(y)(y)
This out of my handbook
Advisedmaximummileage192,000km.Irrespective of the mileage, the timing drive belt must be changed every 4 years for heavy-duty use(cold climates, town use, long periods of idling)or at least every 5 years.
