Apparently very rare now. Seems Calor are phasing them out or discouraging them. No idea why.

Anyone got any info?

Or, suitable available alternatives? Floras?

Why aren’t things always simple?

It's 11kg at Flogas. We use Flogas 48kg at home as no mains gas. Used to use the 6kg in the old van until we put refillables in. Can't fault the service and typically 10 to 25% cheaper than Calor.

I have room for two 13kg bottles so if Calor are going to play silly buggers I’ll try the Flogas 11kg. Thanks

I've got two empty 13kg bottles, anyone want them, free, gratis and for nothing, except you've got to come and get them ? :gum:

I think they've just run out of bottles. It's apparently harder to get Calor bottles than Autogas these days!

I've got a full 13kg bottle in the garage, it's too tall for the van. Now use two flo gas 6kg's. Open to offers?

Peterborough
- Big Calor gas depot closed for months last year (most of last year but can't confirm).
- Flogas site has been raking it in with new business all of last year and even loaned me a bigger (11Kg?) bottle for free to test fit if it will squeeze into my locker.

Replaced our "main" Calor bottle (13kg) with a Safefill alternative. Lighter (very) and refillable.
Still got a full Calor Lite that I need to use up though.

That is looking more appealing. If Calor are going to play games and their prices shoot up then refillable may be an alternative.
A couple of things to research - places that won’t let you fill just a bottle and places closing. I know there are plenty of threads on this so will have a trawl.
Thanks

Just spoken to a Safefill retailer. They tell me they have given up as too many people wanting their money back when garages refuse to let them refill.👎

We've got a local independent where we can get gas from. Also, some Morrisons sell gas.
But as you say outlets are getting sparser.

Isn't there a connector to allow Safefill connection on outside of van like GasLow etc? Then a garage is far less likely to say no?

No unless you used an outside fill point straight to the bottle to fill it. Then you would need to undo the bottle and then reconnect the bottle to the van again. 👀😷👍
