I am installing an old mxq android box that I have into the motorhome and obviously am looking for a power supply for it, so that it can run from 12v directly rather that via the inverter.
Here is a pic from the 240v supply for the box, so I'm after a cigarette or USB supply for it ( I'm not sure if the latter is possible)

???

Its 5v not 12v..

So just a USB connection..
Something like this will do as long as its the 2amp version..
Then you need a USB to the jack plug size that fits your box.. Just search ebay..
I use something similar but have a fixed USB wall socket and luckily found a lead in my box of bits.

You need to find the plug size. or take a gamble and try a few. Something like this..

Most common sizes are 2.1mm and 2.5mm..
For what they cost a few quid to buy one of each and you should be sorted.

Plenty of Buck Converters with fixed & adjustable outputs on eBay.

Should work with a USB to jack converter. A quick spec search says the jack is 5.5mm x 2mm, so this should be all you need:
Amazon product ASIN B01BHEAL56
I did the same with a tablet.

Thanks for the help i have ordered these :

( 5.5mm x 2.1mm )

and a 2.5mm version

@Bart You have ordered a 1 amp one, you need 2 amps
I'm confused Lenny the first line of description says "The max output current 3A, long time use 2.1A, enough use"
ofc its in "Chinglish"
Have you got a link for a 2 amp version then ?
