Seven years plus three tugging
Currently in France and luckily on EHU.

Problem is this. The following are not working:

Igniter on oven\grill
Igniter on hob
Igniter for Truma E boiler gas operation (mains electric does work)
12v fag lighter socket marked 8 amp (12b fag lighter socket marked 120w DOES work)
Garage LED lighting strip
2x USB sockets in kitchen marked '5w 1 amp' and '5w 21 amp' (but the same in bedroom DOES work)

Other 12 sockets and USB plugs do work.

I've checked the fuses in the power box and the big fuses coming off the battery and all seem ok.

Is this some sort of wacky italian installation or does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks very much.

Some sites have reverse polarity but I can’t see how this would create these problem.

I thought both the cig lighters were off the cab battery with the fuses under the bonnet.
The rest are off the hab battery on more than one circuit.

Im sure it will be a 12v fuse. Make sure they are all good. They can look ok but may not be.
I know, i know! It must be, but there are only six fuses and i pulled each one out and checked it. Just remembered the fridge gas igniter didnt ignite either. We'd be stuffed without EHU

Sound like a single supply fuse has failed.
I know! Its doing my head in! Any idea what size fuse would be the one for igniters for fridge\oven\grill and combi e boiler? I have 1 x 5 amp. 4 x 15amp and 1 x 25 amp on the power board.

The cig lighter sockets are in the same housing. One used to work when engine was on, the other works all the time.

All visible fuses changed. Somewhere there is another fuse. No idea where!!!
Ah well, we will survive until we get back to UK.

Have you got a multimeter? You could check if there's power leaving all the fuses, plus any other fuses you can find 👍

Maybe have a look at the leisure battery terminals and make sure all is well?

If it's a Ducato and RHD, do you have the additional convertors fuse box located behind the 'b' pillar base trim on the driver's side ( black trim panel adjacent to handbrake). Maybe worth checking.

Please let us know what van you have, make model and year. If not a standard production van but a van from a smaller converter or a self build please say so.

If all the fuses are ok (and there are no hidden ones you are not aware of), the other thing could be a -ve cable fault on a -ve common to that group of circuits.
If you have a multimeter, check the ground on a non-working circuit for continuity to a good ground.

My money would still be on a fuse blown on the common supply to that group of devices which are not working.

Thanks all. It is a 2018 Rimor Europeo 87 on the swb Fiat Ducato chassis.

Not sure

about the PSU, so am attaching a picture of it. Also showing the loc of 3 other fuses. All now changed for new ones. 8 fuses in total.

Where else would those wacky Italian moho builders have hidden fuses? !!!

Can't see one but thanks for the suggestion. Gave me some brief hope and excitement 😁😆😆😆

Given above. There is also a 100w solar panel and 500 inverter fitted. Dont really use it tbh.

Sounds like a plan but multimeter at home ☹️

You would assume them to make them at least so they could be checked/viewed so behind fridge, accessed by fridge outer grill????
Assuming fridge is near kitchen, hob, oven etc.

Changed all my lv fuses to led, led on, fuse is gone, well that rhymes 👌😉😊

Rimor are part of the Trigano group and may utilise the same or similar methods/ materials as other makes in the group.

I know that Chausson and some others have 12v relays and fuses in a hidden compartment under the walkway from the front cab to the hab area.

If you have a plastic cover in this location, remove this and there may be a compartment covered by a piece of ply. Remove this and this reveals a black box containing fuses & relays.

Maybe worth a look👍

If you can borrow a multimeter check that you have a 12v supply on both sides of the fuse or at least on the common 12v side.

Not sure if it’s already been mentioned, or even relevant, but the solar controller looks blank / dead In the picture? Could that have anything to do with it? Hope you get to the bottom of it.

OK it may seem daft but are your leisure batteries charged/charging, it ok checking fuses but if nowts there to come out they aint gonna work
He did say that other habitation sockets were working.

Not always the case. The LED lighting up relies on a ground/-ve return on the circuit. If you have a circuit that is just a 12V socket, if the fuse fails the LED won't illuminate.
If you have a device plugged into the socket, that will provide a return and LED will light, but solely using the LEDs as a fuse check is not reliable.

Aha! There is such a cover. However Mrs DDJC has pleaded with me not to go fiddling until back home. Thanks a lot!
