I've bought a Roberts Sports DAB radio which came with a mains charger @ 230/240V to 5V, 500Ma DC.
I'd like to be able to charge it when we're away "off grid" in the Romahome so I need a 12v "cigarette lighter" style charger.
Any ideas please cos I'm going cross-eyed on the net. RS and Maplin no good.

p.s.
I did find this................

but I'm worried that the extra 0.5v might over volt the radio which would be tragic at £80 !

You could possibly use a usb adapter for 12v socket as they are 5 volt then buy a universal set of charging cables that should do the job.

I bought a DROK Car Power Converter DC 8-20V 12V to 5V/3A Voltage Converter Parallel Dual USB Adapter Connectors. I have been using in in my M/H for the past year to power a Trackimo GPSGSM tracker

This should be the correct link is Amazon product ASIN B00GXXFBC0

Same as mine with a different sticker.
Must be a factory in China turning them out by the thousands.
I run a satnav and dash cam off mine no problem.
The extra current won't make any difference, you appliance will still only draw what it actually needs....500ma.
