I have a 30mm hole that used to hold a standard 12v cigarette lighter socket and want to fit a 12v hella socket that has a 18mm thread and retaining nut.

Before I start butchering the old socket and fit this inside it some way any other ideas please.

Plastic water pipe sleeve 18 to 30mm. Might need a plastic collar or washer behind the new socket’s head too.

Thanks for the suggestions.
The magic search term needed was 'panel mount' ebay to the rescue for £6.
12v planet were cheaper but the postage cost killed it.
