hi all
Getting confused with available 12v adaptor for our new Humax box which requires a 4 amp output. Do you think something like this would work.
Amazon product ASIN B0039LQRYUAny other suggestions? Have found several with 2 amp output, but not 4 amp. Thanks!

Minimum output voltage = 15v
May be too high for a 12v unit.

Why not simply run it on 12v leisure battery, 230v mains charger will keep the battery charged on hookup.

The proper 230v power supply is a regulated 12v DC output.....any higher voltage will/may cause damage.
All you need is a 12v voltage stabilised lead....amperage via that is immaterial.

Try a search for

Amperor ADP-90DC-12 12V Voltage Stabiliser

The mains lead has a transformer on it which we use at home. We can use it via an inverter in the van, but would like to be able to plug into 12v. It says 4 amp on the transformer, and all the adaptors I’ve found are only 2 amp. I tried searching for
Amperor ADP-90DC-12 12V Voltage Stabiliser On eBay & Amazon with no luck.

Thanks for trying to help though! Much appreciated!

Thanks, but I don’t think it will fit, and I’m not sure if 5 amps is too much?
An appliance will only take what amps it needs and no more regardless of what's available.
Think LED lights.....far less than 1 amp needed but the leisure battery can provide over 100 amps.

Have a look at the TV plug on your mains supply and try to measure the outside and inside the hole if it's a tube type connector.
If it's the same as 100brians link that will work.
If it's a different size plug you can buy adaptors to change the size.
