I think that I must have gone wrong somewhere alone the line. We have been in France for over 3weeks. I have motorhome WiFi with a Smarty data sim and my smart phone with my Three contract sim. 12Gb fair use on each.
How have I managed to use 24gb in 3 weeks. We are on our way home and the Smarty sim is still working even though I am well over my 12Gb available fair use.
I don't stream, no idea how to. I use Google maps quite a bit and I hunt for Aires and routes. I have sent a few emails whilst sorting Jacques passport.

Would this use all my allowance or should I have turned things off that I don’t know about.

Automatic updates in the background are usually enabled by default so if not turned off you could use 12Gb in a day if you open enough apps

I think it can be done by going into your google account. Presume iphone will be similar ?

On an iPhone you go into the WiFi setting, then open up the router. In there you can select low data mode. That stops updates and Icloud stuff.

I did that, belatedly on my I phone, how would I do it on my Smarty sim that's in my motorhome WiFi?

If you have told your phone to use low data mode to your mifi, it doesn’t matter if you swap/switch/change sim in the mifi. It is in low data mode for that router.
