Hi All,
I have recently purchased a 12v Sniper tv for my motorhome.
I am wondering if i can wire the sound into the Kenwood speakers located on the roof panel behind the sunroof.
Has anyone done this project in the past?

You shouldn’t get 12v from the speaker out cables it will be the impedance of the speakers you’ll need to check.
To test them, turn the volume down to minimum on the tv and try the speakers gradually turning up the volume.

If your stereo has an auxiliary input you may get better audio by running a cable from the headphone socket into that, the output from the headphone jack is unlikely to power those speakers at any reasonable volume, the only other audio output from those tv's as far as i'm aware is a digital coax one and that would need to feed into a device that has an spdif connector (sony phillips digital interface).

You need to send the audio to whatever runs the speakers normally. Is that the fm radio?
If the tv is Bluetooth you can get a cigar socket bluetooth/FM transmitter for about a tenner.

Now comparable is your TV to this one?

That sniper model has: -
  1. Bluetooth for soundbar/headphones
  2. Stereo headphone output
  3. Coaxial audio output (couldn’t see that on the Amazon page, but there are phono LR connections labelled as outputs)
I don’t know where you sit to watch TV in relation to the pictured speakers but there are options for the Sniper model I linked to.
With a suitable cable, 2 & 3 could use an aux input on the Motorhome car radio. 🤔
I’d prefer option 1 with an external Bluetooth speaker. 👍🏻

Kevenh,
Many thanks for your comments.
I did realise the tv had bluetooth built in.
It is now connected to my external speaker.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
