Could be one of three common ones.
Cig socket plug, a DIN/HELLA plug or a dedicated two pin plug.

A pic of the socket will decide.

German vans mostly use the Hella / Din plugs.
Standard size cigarette sockets are inside the Fiat cab.

Hymer changed from Hella to the standard Cigar lighter sockets quite a few years ago. A backward step IMO.

this is a photo of the 12 volt socket. I have a Hella plug which is too big for the socket as is the normal cigarette lighter type

Looks like a hella socket to me? But is the CBE 12v socket different and the reason your current plugs dont fit?

New to motorhomes 2019
2019 Dethleffs used Hella in the hab area and conventional in the Fiat cab area

It does look similar but mine is labelled as 120 W whereas the one in your plastic is labelled 10A. I know exceedingly little about electrics!

Change the plug on the TV lead, don't bother with an adaptor as the sockets on them are very poor quality.
That's the problem I think Lenny, the OP doesn't know what the socket is to buy the correct plug.

OP beat me to it.

Has your Hella plug still got the pull off adaptor on the end?
It allows Hella to fit a cig lighter socket.

The red bit pulls off

Papajohn, this is my hella adapter, it does not have a red pull off adapter

That is a Hella plug it will plug straight in, the one John referred to fits a standard cigar socket with the red bit on & a hella without it.

Started 2009!
Take care fitting the plug as it can short out and cause the fuse to blow, I speak from experience!
There was not enough light to see the socket clearly in the evening light when we wished to watch TV.
