Hi all, a friend is very interested in buying an Autotrail 634u, but wonders if it's legal to drive with a regular car licence . ie is the gross max laden weight less than 3.5 tons . Thanks for any info on that,

He will need to ask even if it was originally 3500 it could have been up-plated

Originally 3.5 (I had 634L) but check autotrail's plate (under the bonnet)

Yes he's fine. The 2007 Apache 634U has an MTPLM of 3500kg and a payload of 455kg. If the SE pack is fitted payload drops to around 420kg.

The proof reader must have had the day off in that spec.
They have it at 2.55mtrs high and 3mtrs wide....
Other way round me thinks.
