Fuel gauge is showing empty although tank is definitely full and “ Fuel level unavailable“ flashing up on dash and low fuel light flashing, all other gauges on dash appear to be working fine, so wondering if anyone has had similar ? My thoughts are, fuel level reader / sender unit that’s in the tank with the pump, a fuse or relay or I guess worst case is the actual gauge in the dash. I can’t seem to find any reference to a dedicated fuse for the fuel gauge but as I say hoping somebody here has seen similar and point me in the right direction. It’s a 2018 Fiat ducato based Rollerteam A class

GMak57 I think you may find that the sender unit is linked into the BCM (Body Control Module) which then controls fuel gauge etc , and many other things . If the connections are all ok at the sender you could try a BCM reset by disconnecting the starter battery for 10 mins , the negative lead will do it . I do not know if it will work but it could be worth a try.

Geoffndee, took the Moho for a 60 mile run this morning then got back, switched off ignition then back on again and all working, so not sure if sender unit or float was stuck but I’ll keep an eye on it and I’d it does it again I’ll try your suggestion. Thanks for the reply

Did you resolve your issue GMak57

Ive just posted on THIS thread my similar problem
Roy, I just live with it, it only ever “doesn’t work” if I try to pack in as much diesel as possible for a long journey. I did the 60ltr to 90ltr conversion by removing the baffle from the tank, so it’s only when I’m filling up to 90ltr it goes off the scale, then as I say once Ive used some diesel then ignition switched off and on again it all works fine but shows full until the level in the tank gets to below 60ltr and then reads as normal. I’ve found that if I fill up to the first auto stop on the pump w hen refuelling it doesn’t go off the scale.

reading your post, it sounds like a different issue
