I know where there is a field there with 'that kind of mushroom' growing, the family who own it often found zonked out bodies laying about there, I wonder if you were one of them, you didn't find them anywhere near Rhossili by any chance did you. :giggler:

I used to ride horses along the top of Rhossili Downs.
It has always been popular with hang gliders, depending on how long ago you started going there you may have seen me riding there.
I used to live just behind the Downs.

I started hang gliding in 1979 & paragliding in 1991 (still flying paragliders & flew at Rhossili a few weeks ago)

I went for riding summer holidays there from the early 80's and lived there from the late 80's, so I would put good money on it that you could easily have flown about when I was riding a horse there then.
Hang gliders were one of the few things my 'wired to a mars bar' horse didn't freak at.:giggle:

I have a strong stomach but if mushrooms don't come off a supermarket shelf they don't get eaten.

I have loads of these in the garden. Anyone know what they are? I don’t want to eat them but are they safe with a dog around?

See post #7, they look the same except my shot was taken after heavy rain. I haven't 100% identified it but if it is edible it probably isn't very tasty and the odds are it isn't edible. If there is a ring on the stem it is likely to be in the latter group. :(

I wouldn't worry about the dog. Unlike humans they are not daft enough to try eating anything like this. :)

If I put a picture up on here to ask if a fungus was edible or not, with all the responses you get on here, I would take a positive answer with a pinch of salt.:rofl:
A pinch of salt, get it? :imoutahere:

Onions and garlic fried in butter, mushrooms sliced and thrown into the mix to cook, served on top of two slices of bread fried in the juices, beautiful.🤗🤗
